Puma Set to Replace Nike for Portugal’s 2025 Home Kit

Puma Set to Replace Nike for Portugal’s 2025 Home Kit

Portugal’s national football team is transitioning from Nike to Puma, starting in 2025. Nike, which has been Portugal’s kit sponsor for over a decade, designed the country’s kits through major tournaments like Euro 2024. However, Puma will step in as the new sponsor, and the expected design for Portugal’s 2025 home kit has already surfaced online, courtesy of @gollofootball. The leak was confirmed by Footy Headlines, giving fans an early look at what to expect from this new era.

The Puma Portugal 2025 home kit boasts a fresh, sophisticated design with a dominant red hue officially called "Sport Red," complemented by off-white accents labeled "Sugared Almond." The most noticeable change in this kit compared to previous Nike designs is the complete absence of green, which was a staple in Portugal’s kits during Nike’s tenure. The kit takes inspiration from Portugal’s national crest, featuring a subtle pattern of the cross, giving it a unique yet elegant touch.

Another feature that sets this Puma kit apart is the detailing on the collar and sleeves. The cuffs and collar include black and sail-colored stripes, adding to the overall polished look. This departure from Nike’s traditional designs gives the kit a more modern yet classic feel, blending simplicity with subtle intricacy.

In addition to the shirt, the shorts complete the ensemble with a green color, referred to as "Blessing Green," matching the off-white tones of the shirt. This combination balances the kit’s colors while maintaining a sleek aesthetic that is both fresh and reflective of Portugal’s rich football heritage.

For many football fans, this change marks the end of an era, as Nike has been synonymous with Portugal’s kits for years. However, Puma’s take on Portugal’s 2025 home kit suggests that exciting new designs are on the horizon, signaling a bold new chapter for the team’s look.
