Liverpool is poised to rekindle its partnership with adidas starting from the 2025/26 season, as reported by SportBusiness. This move marks the end of their five-year contract with Nike, which began in 2020, thus terminating their association with the Swoosh. It's a relatively brief stint with Nike, as Liverpool had previously severed ties with New Balance to embrace Nike kits for the first time in their history. However, reports suggest a return to the Three Stripes after a 13-year hiatus.



The upcoming deal with adidas heralds Liverpool's third collaboration with the brand, following previous periods from 1985-1996 and 2006-2012. This reacquisition of kit production rights by adidas came after a competitive tender process, where the German brand emerged as the highest bidder. The agreement spans five seasons, from 2025/26 to 2029/30. While financial specifics remain undisclosed, it's anticipated that the new adidas-Liverpool deal will surpass the approximately £50 million paid out under the current Nike contract. Nonetheless, it falls short of the league-wide record £90 million received by Manchester United annually, also from adidas.
